Roger Faligot is a writer and freelance reporter


He began in the early 1970s as a freelance journalist in Ireland working for newspapers such as "Hibernia", "The Irish Times" and "The Sunday Tribune" to which he continued to send stories once in Paris in the early 1980s. Simultaneously, he worked for daily papers such as "Libération" for which he had been a correspondent while in Ireland.

During seven years in the 1990s, he was a special correspondent for the London-based week "The European". From 1993 to 2000, he was a chairman for the Association of Breton and Celtic Journalists.

From 1977 onwards, alone or with a partner he published more than forty books. Many of those dealt with current and contemporay affairs, including security and intelligence subects, especially in Asia and the far eastern world.

He is currently researching a non-fiction novel on possibly the first man who travelled around the world through the continents, Pierre Malherbe from Brittany whose Odyssey lasted from 1582 to 1608.
